Went out to the coop this morning and naturally the chickens have a favorite spot to poop. I noticed a worm. It was long, skinny and white. The thing is, it is alive with a head, eyes and all and is moving.
What the heck is it? I'm not sure if this came from the poop or if it's some type of wierd worm that formed or located itself there after the fact.
I've been researching and nothing I'm finding looks like this worm. I can get a pic but was hoping someone could tell me if I need to treat my flock or assume it didn't come FROM the chicken.
If I need to treat, what should I use and do I need to toss eggs or can they be hatched if not they can't be eaten?
