I have been SO tired this week
sad.png
I've had classes all week so i have been getting up at 5am and getting home around 6 and i am just wiped out! I've been dragging myself to get everyone taken care of in the morning before i leave.. the babies have water, the ducks have food & water, the goat has hay, the rabbits are fed....BLAHHH, this week has just sucked. Plus 2 of the cows had babies this week(of course the only week when im not able to be home!) and 1 more is due soon!

2 of my Muscovy girls are due to hatch in a couple days and i am just hoping i am not feeling like this by then, because i just wont be able to deal with all those babies running around, lol. I am going to TRY to get another brooder put together tomorrow, hopefully i wont doze off and put a screw into my finger or something

It sucks to be so tired. I know I'm on my 3rd night of working night shift with very little sleep during the day. Though the babies are work, they are so worth it. Luckily I have my boys to help with all birds, etc., but I've been trying to get my yard work done and keep the house clean (yeah right) and complete a seperation are in the coop/run, there just isn't enough time

Good luck to you in getting some restful sleep.

Im sorry you have had such a hectic week... It sometimes does seem to come all at once- But soon you wont have as many babies all over the place and you wil be looking foward to spring and babies everywhere all over again.

I normally have to get up at 5.30 am for work and so often I am late after feeding and watering everyone in the morning. I have been home for the last two weeks with an injury- and although I have so much more time during the day- I cant physically do what is needing to be done... I could have really used the last two weeks for fixing thinigs up- and then of course when I go back to work.... I wont have the time...

Sure hope you are feeling better again soon,

Not laughing at you, Bleenie, but you have to admit that as long as you are going to have "critters" you are always going to be busy. There is ALWAYS something that needs doing and never enough time or energy in a day to get it all done. So sorry you are SO tired and I do hope you get some much needed rest. Try taking at least 10 min. today to STOP and just watch the ducks or chooks enjoying the sun or some such without thinking of all the " maintenence" that still needs doing. Can you report the rude PM?

Hope you heal up quickly, duckyfromoz.

Between 2 young children and all of our critters I am always busy. LOL. And tierd. And this blasted rain won't stop long enough for me to finish my movable coops. (No shop + have to drag power tools outside+rain= bad.) Which means I feel like this

The weather is the one thing I haven't planed for. In my happy little land, there were plenty of good days to get things built. And now I am going to be up to my eyeballs in babies, and big babies in brooders if I can't get these things done.

Back to you though, since it is your thread, LOL, sorry. Schedual sleep. Even a small nap, can make all the difference. I know you need to build stuff, and study, but one of these nights, feed, clean, eat, go to bed. I can go quite a while on very little sleep, but if it is an extended period of time where I know for a few months it is going to be rough, I drop as much as possible once every 6-7 days and hit the sack, or find time for a nap. LOL< Keeps the old brain ticking, at least a little better. Ha, Ha.

I hear you Bleenie - it does suck when you feel sapped...I had the brilliant idea to go back to school full-time last year and I hear what you're saying...

...and yeah...double sucky points and 20 lashes with a wet noodle for those who leave rude messages...

I thought I had a lot to do. I only have 6 ducks, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. You are making me feel like I complain about nothing. Of course then I have my job, and it is one of those you bring home evenings and weekends. Summer is on the way and it makes everything look a little brighter - hang in there.

Of course i woke up early this morning, lol. I have to go collect the extra duck eggs today, ive been slacking for a couple days so there's probably lots. I already have a box full of 40 extras!! they're gonna go to the auction on saturday since we don't really eat duck eggs as much as chicken.

I'm still tired but am So lookign forward to cleaning the coop and being around the ducks..i missed them this week
