What's the best bloodless way to do that? I'm not quite ready for butchering yet.

Well, if you live in the country where there are predators you could just leave it outdoors overnight...it will be gone by morning...
But the quickest, and most humane is a sharp axe and a chopping block with two nails sticking up out of it to hold the head in place

I went through it last fall, she was suffering and I couldn't stand to see her die slowly.
