my mom lives over by Delton/Hastings area. When I talked to her yesterday she said she had about 6 inches and it was still snowing. We got flurries this morning but nothing the ground - buy BOY did it get cold last night, like down to 15 degrees.

I rarely get a lot of snow down here, and it usually isn't this cold so early in the winter - I have a feeling I may be seeing some of that white stuff this year.

Hey I don't live far from Delton/Hastings! I live in Kalamazoo county-Portage! Snow like this is nothing new to us. I have offically lived through several big blizzards. Us Michiganders take great pride in being pretty hardy when it comes to getting around in the snow! Either that or pretty stupid. The city keeps our roads pretty good and I just take it slow. I hate shoveling though! At least I can say I am glad I don't live in any of the counties on the Lake (Lake Michigan), they get their own brand of snow called Lake effect snow LOL! We get some though. Yes it definitely looks like Christmas here in the water-winter wonderland of Michigan ha ha. Any of you guys that live in the South want some snow for the holidays!

Beautiful, really. We had our first snow about a week ago (incedently the same night an egg broke in my coat pocket

) but it was all gone by morning. No snow day for me.

How lucky!!! I know you must hate it....but around here it's unheard of (central Alabama). My youngest two children (ages 5 and 6) have only seen it once in their lives, last year....not much more than a dusting at that. But it was plenty for pics of them with snowmen, red noses, and snowball fights. Momma and Daddy stayed out with them the whole time to enjoy the excitement. And, now everytime it is cloudy and below 45 deg. they think it's about to snow! Can't imagin trying to shovel the stuff.

Keep the chickies warm... send some our way!!

I'd move to WI in a heartbeat! In fact, we hope to move to MT, ID, UT, CO, WI, IL, IA, MO or AR someday so we can live in a snowy-er climate. Right now, we have to stay put where we are, though, because the care our Autistic son is getting here is phenominal (?sp)!!! Someday....

Michigan has an Alberta clipper system moving through right now, bringing lots of wind and a "decent" amount of snow. Here in West Michigan (GRR area), we've got about 6-8" of snow right now with more falling. Toward the lakeshore, they've got a LOT more. I'm jealous!

I've been out shoveling twice already today and I've started my count down. 118 more days until I might be able to put my snow shovels away.
