UGH SNOW-My lovely MI view this morning.

I shouldn't complain too much, it really is lovely here. I'm just a pansy who can't stand the cold.

my thoughts exactly. I'm in CT. We get the four seasons. It is rather "lovely." It's me, the pansy, who complains throughout winter yet does nothing to move/change her location!

I always joke about putting away the snow shovels....can't put them away until June!

The DH has been snow blowing the drive & the animal areas twice a day lately! UGH! We just came out of a nice blizzard only to be under another storm watch thru Tuesday night or so!

& it's only just begun! We live 1 & 1/2 miles from Lake MI so we get some pretty hefty snowfalls & blowing & drifting.

I think it is time to find a warmer state!

I'll take the snow anyday of the week as long as it warms up closer to 30... this weather in the teens with a wind chill factor in the single digits bites... brrrrr....

If anyone is thinking of moving to Colorado for the snow, most of that snow is in the mountains. Most of the major metropolitan areas don't get much. Maybe 3 big storms a year, and then it melts in a week...just like it should

That sounds better.

I hear we're in for a good storm overnight tonight. Oh boy. I don't have to work tomorrow but I do have errands to run.

We might actually get UP to 15 degrees today! It was around -8F last night, but the winds weren't blowing so it wasn't bad... Turned white here around Nov 8th, and has been that way since but I am sorta happy about that. We are pretty much in a drought (not unusual) and snow will eventually be moisture in the ground. Just hate when the roads get icy...

yeah, Kalamazoo and Allegan get it the worst I think - it comes right off the lake and the land is flatter down there, nothing to stop it.

I lived in Michigan for about 35 years - moved a year ago to Kentucky.

I do not miss snow!!

Well, that isn't totally true - I like snow, enough, it's pretty - what I hated was having winter last half the dang year!! January and February are SO bad in Michigan, it was just depressing. It felt like spring would never come.

Lived in Grand Rapids for 20 years.
Nagged poor hubby for 19 of those years to get me out of the city

I grew up on a farm, despised the city - I tell hubby that it is a testament to how much I adore him that I bothered to stay in that city that long.

I'm on the south side of Grand Rapids, Wyoming. Right now we're getting a mix of rain and snow, not supposed to get too cold til later on, after everything gets really soggy from the rain. then it will freeze solid and we'll all go slipping and sliding. Just one of the thrills of living in west MI.
