I don't really know if my wife can actually ride a bike. She says she can...
but we've never seen her. Bought new bikes a few years ago...she has the
five-speed with the training wheels on it. (true fact)

Her big-girl bike is in the garage with training wheels on it...took them off the
daughters bike when she learned to ride.
 
I agree, if it's medically noted that your balance is off they should have to arrange something else or some other way for you to complete that section. A stationary bike sounds like a good alternative, or they could just have you do some walking or some other exercise/sport that you can do instead.

Seems you outta get a pass for that one really. Or like Arc said see about stationary. Knowing you can't and forcing you is just setting you up for injury and that's the one thing they are NOT poda do. Have your parents talked to the school or anything?
