It took my ducklings overnight to make out a small opening so u can’t really expect it to zip out any miniute now and remember the condition of the membrane depends on the absorbing of the yolk so no ASSISTING too early.here’s what happened to one of mine when I did.
Healthy,assisted only after making sure it had completely dried membrane.

Both feet were completely trapped on top of his head. After some very, very gradual assistance per the article you send and @Miss Lydia sent me this morning, I managed to loosen things up for him and he unfurled and started kicking! He's now resting, cheeping, and finishing the process.

He's been trying to hatch for about 30 something hours and wasn't making any progress. I just had to help him free his little foot so he could get some leverage, and he's taking care of the rest

I hope he makes it, now. He's still got some work to do with the bottom half, but I'm leaving the rest up to him. I would have been happy to let him handle it all, but after about 30 hours in the same position, I don't think he was going to get any further.

The way he stretched, though, when his leg could move. I think my soul left my body momentarily.

lots of movement, especially kicking! cheeping, sleeping. Got a little bit of goo around the belly button and egg shell around his little bottom, but he seems lively enough after such a struggle!
