Uh, is someone ready for lockdown a little early?

New friends arrived at 4am! (Who needs sleep, anyway?) The darker one zipped with no problems, but the one that was upside down for about 40 hours had a leg stuck over her head. Everything was absorbed and there was no liquid left or yawning, so with a little wriggle of the egg, she came to join the party! The upside down one is nowhere near as lively as the dark one, but both belly buttons have receded and they both kicked off their shells, so I'm hoping some good rest will do it!

The newest hatch was really struggling this evening. She's been at it for about 48 hours, so I added a little coconut oil to the edges and inside of the shell with a q tip and she finally pushed her way out. She stayed very sticky and wet, even after a few hours, so I got her out and helped clean and dry her off with a warm, damp q tip and warmed her up in a baby towel, gave her some warm electrolyte water with sugar from a dropper, then put her on the dry little towel in the hatcher with the other egg that is in there that is trying to hatch, because they've been talking up a storm. She's very unsteady and hasn't opened her eyes much, but she is nice and dry and fluffy, had a couple of poops and is very vocal. I don't know what it is with these guys and 4am, but I heard excessive cheeping, looked in, saw this foot peeking out of the shell of the other egg in there, and now I -really- want to know if Loki could have hooked up with a boy wood duck when I wasn't looking. This foot is very suspicious.
