Hi there,
One of my four hens, a one year old Buff Orp, seems a little off. She's not that energetic, and when I"ve picked her up twice today, she's, well, kind of.....leaked. A flood of clear, watery liquid has come splashing out of her vent. Not viscous like egg whites, but just watery.
Also, the skin on her ears, comb and around her eyes seems much deeper red than the other one. I think she's still eating; at least she seemed to have some pellets in her crop.
I think my daughter threw in a couple of uneaten (but cooked) ears of corn the other night. Could it be too much corn? The others seem fine.
Any ideas? What can I do? I"m very concerned about my sweet hen!
Thanks,
Astrid
