I have no hay for sheep. I would take the free sheep to the sale ring and see if I could make a buck or two seeings how I didn't have any money into them.

Yeah, for people who dont have the resources than its a lose/lose situation all around. I have goats, so hay would be no problem for me. It would be a total pain though, some people just dont deserve to own animals.

Gorgeous sheep!

ummm, gertrude is a boy BTW,,you may want to get him banded before he decides to breed mom,tho they look pretty young..better check the other one also,I couldnt tell on the pic.

Yeah, we banded him last night. My youngest daughter named him Gertrude because "it sounded like a boys name" Her exact words. Haha. The other one is for sure a girl. These kids and their names!

I don't understand why he would give them to us. But they're sweet and gentle, so I think we're going to keep them...Thats why Sam told me. I'll post some pictures when I get outside again.

Off topic but your horse in your avatar is beautiful!

Thats quite alright. Her name is Cici, she's a painted medicine hat. And she's bred. About a month along.

i'd be excited to get sheep or any live stock animal droppped of here as long as they contained it so it couldnt get hurt.

NOW if i already had sheep, and they threw new sheep in with my sheep i alreaady had i'd be MAD MAD MAD...why?

many reasons....no quarentine
if breeding season, and they bred my prized girls i'd be MAD again lol

many reasons to be mad

When i was in rabbits, pepole would be at their wits end because breeders put a lo tof effort into keeping thier rabbits free from disease and when people drop off rabbits at their rabibtry who aren't quarentined all it takes is the rabbit breathing the same air as a sick rabbit, and the whole rabbitry can have to be culled 10 days later when symptoms show.

therse much easier ways to get rid of unwanted livestock then throwing them on someoens farm without asking....auctions.....

Yes it is wrong on what people do, I think people who do that lack Knowledge, Yes there is other ways, like butching them, auctions, taking them to the mountains, putting fliers up and putting them in the newspaper,

Its the way of life, everyone does it. No one can stop it,
