Definitely getting cooler, won't be long til the water needs defrosting on a morning. The war with mites seems neverending, on the verge of just setting it on fire and buying a new one. Spent a few hours cleaning it and treating it then found this when I needed to refelt above the nest boxes. Yes, it was all moving.



Time for several showers every time I think I feel movement on me.

Anyone interested in a nearly 16 wk old partridge Penedesenca cockerel (carries dark brown egg genes)? Broody- and pasture- raised, with 3 mature roos in the flock, so he's well trained in foraging and is well mannered. Testosterone hasn't kicked in yet.

Hello, I have an ex commercial egg layer that I found on the side of the road, and I’ve got 3 2 week old chicks that I bought from a rare breeds farm! The yellow one came from a blue egg, so maybe Araucana, the other 2 were creamy eggs. The black one has very short legs, so I’m thinking may be a Scots Dumpy, and the brown one is a naked neck crossed with something with feathery feet lol!

Sorry, I should have said I bought the eggs from a rare breeds farm and hatched them in my incubator!
