I had my first chick of the year hatch yesterday :yiipchick Way too early on day 19 but I think it maybe had a day or so under a hen before I set it :/
The friend I got them from literally got 4 eggs to give me from under a broody but he said he had been collecting but I think this eggs could have been one he missed previously. Quite possible to miss one tackling a grumpy broody hen in a dark coop.

Will try to post a pic if iCloud starts working again and sends my pics from the phone to the iPad :barnie
 
What type of chick is it? Are you giving the Easter hatch a go? I'll be looking out for pictures

A Brahma is the first one out, I just snapped another pic of it. Dry and fluffy now ~

I've got 24 polish eggs in my incubator at the moment going into lockdown next Saturday. Do they get any problems hatching? Never hatched these before.

I've not experienced any problems with them hatching and I dread to think how many polish I have hatched :oops:

Thanks! Number 6 is just zipping now :jumpy I was going to head off to bed but I think I will wait a bit longer!
Some of the polish eggs have pips but nothing hatched from them yet :/ Im eager to see what they look like as it's the cockerels first season.
