I,ve got two harlequins, but one has egg shell stuck on his bum, he,s also very noisy. Should I do anything about the egg shell? Or will it come off natraly?
Emma my laptop broke so having to use this little plan thing. That's why I haven't been on line. Hope you're OK xx

Sorry to hear the news that your ducks didn't make it.

I had 7 chicken eggs in an incubator... a word of advice: don't rely on builders leaving the electric on when they leave !

Sadly the incubator was switched off last week and despite me switching it back on again there hasn't been any further progress.

That's ridiculous if I were you I would of complained. It's sad when it happens I have been close to giving up at times but the lovely people on here made me see sense. It's all a learning curve!

Sorry for your loss ..... Someone (no one owned up) once switched off my incubator with 20 fertile eggs, and I only got 1 survivor....

Oh how horrible

since one incident I had which was my nephew cracking an egg no one is allowed near the incubators but me. Not even my cats lol

Well locking them out the room helps lol. Saying that my brother in law trained his cat to do it's mess in the toilet! Just couldn't work out how to flush..

Emma, all going well have a lot mo4e chicks than I thought I would. One major prob tonight pls look on blood sac behind chick thread and advise if you can. And anyone eles who could help I would be very internally grateful xx

The little chick died at5.30 this morning, poor little thing. But I have another harlequin chick hatched in the smaller bator at around the same time. That makes 14 harlequins now I think! Happy Easter everyone and thank you for a great site!

wow 14 congratulations Hun!! When they fluff up make sure you put pics up I wanna see them. I'm on day 10 with my button and coturnix quail it gets addictive your end up getting more eggs lol xx
