I'm sure you will love your quail, I really enjoyed keeping mine! Unfortunately the dog didn't like them and I had to rehome them. When did you start keeping?

Thanks guys I've got five japanese quail two are wild type two are fawn and a tuxedo one of the fawns is my male there great fun

I've spent the day dismantling 8 pallets with my son were going to build a purpose built quail pen for them.

Oh wow your have to show us a photo when you've built it! I've just hatched coturnix quail today actually they are still hatching

Unfortunately I lost the one that's at the top it kept fitting

but still have more hatching. You should I love quail got great characters

Sorry to trouble you all, but has anyone had a hen that wheezes when she breathes?
Today I found one of mine hiding under a bush. Her crop is near empty and she's not drinking that I can tell. Her whole body seems to move as she's breathing or trying to-It looks bad to me. Yesterday there wasn't any signs of any problems, and certainly the wheezing has only started today.
Any ideas how to help would be much appreciated.
