Hi Warriorgal. Thanks for advice. I have given her ivermectin on Tuesday morning. I've noticed lice are starting to wake up! She has been in the run all day and the only food she has in there is layers pellets. They all get sweetcorn for breakfast! There is grit in the run. She hasnt layed in over a year. I let her out on the grass when I got home. She had about 30 mins, she is in my livingroom now! She has had a drink though. Im happy about that. I don't know why her poop is like that. It definitely not normal. I can't really understand how she got frostbite on her comb? The cold weather was two weeks ago. It's been well above freezing since then. Although it is meant to get bad again this weekend. Hope your hens are all doing well.

Oh bless, I do hope that she starts feeling better soon you have done what you can. Another thought, could it be internal parasites maybe ? I normally put a few drops of applecider and garlic in the water, not sure if it would help or not but just another idea. My hens are doing fine, all more or less settled in and being well looked after by Joffrey. The only problem (or not a problem depending on how its viewed ) I will have one full time and one part time job as of next week so I wont be able to let my ones out or fuss over them as often as I want. I guess its a matter of see how it goes. Still no eggs yet, im hoping might get one by April.

Crikey. Your going to be busy with two jobs! I'm at work all day so I let the hens out in the morning, depending on the weather! It's not so bad in the summer when it's light but winter is rubbish. I only see them in the coop at night and at weekends. :( It's worse when you have a problem and you need to be there and can't.
How old are your hens?

Well my cockerel is about 6 and half months old now and my hens are about 5 - 6 months old. I have a part time evening job and spend time in the day with my chickens, But I needef a full time job so I shall see how things go now and then I might have to forefeit one job at a later stage. I will have the weekend with the chickens and about half an hour between the jobs to let them have a quick run. Hoping to persuade my partner to come over and let them out while im not here lol. But Joffrey picks on him and hes grumpy about it lol (but he is always grumpy lol). I guess its a matter of taking things a day at a time. Do let me know how your hen gets on Chickencountryuk.... I really do hope she will start picking up soon.

That's funny. Joffrey picking on your partner! They both want your attention! I just remembered didn't joffrey have a poorly stage not so far back? I guess he's fine now.
Jemima had a quiet night in my livingroom and boy did she smell! She had some sweetcorn and pellets this morning and wanted out so she is back in the run today. Her poop seems a little bit more brown and pasty today not so liquidy, so I hope that means an improvement. I will be keeping a very close eye on her. She can probably come back in later. And my broody brahma betty is also back outside after two nights in the cage in my garage. Bless her. Big silly hen she is! Thankyou for your help and advice. My hens mean the world to me especially jemima as she is the last of my original hens. If she goes because of old age that will be hard enough but if it's something treatable then I must do everything I can. She's only 3 1/2 yrs.
