Hi. Nice to see you here. I'm not near Somerset. I'm from Nottinghamshire. It's great you have quails. There such sweet little things. I only have 5 now. There is a few others that have quail if you need any help. Are you after hatching eggs for blue egg layers or pullets?

Hello,
I used to live in Leicestershire so know your area well, lol
I am loving my little birds and decided that the first coup and run is not quite to my liking ( made a miniature copy of my chicken coup in my avatar pic) so am currently building another that is on the level as the dopy birds refuse to use the enclosed area as its up a ramp!!!
I am hoping to buy some chickens that lay blue eggs but need to do a bit more homework first to find the best ones that are suitable for my area, with regard the temperature etc.
Hopefully, by the end of the month, the family will have expanded.

My 2 cats think we have installed a cat tv in the garden!

I always want more space for the quails. I'm thinking of building an aviary for mine. There is a lady an here from Leicester who is selling eggs and chicks. I also know someone who sells Araucana hatching eggs. Legbars are also blue egg layers. I have a couple of Araucanas and they managed well with the weather we've just had. So long as they are dry and have good ventilation they should manage most weather.
