no worries!
I haven't seen anything from her in a while - she was on the verge of throwing the towel in after a hard start to chicken keeping, sadly

I have quail chicks I’m new to this it’s my 12year old autistic son who wanted to hatch them, so we have two 4 week old coturnix quails and 1 California and 3 blue scale there 5 days old. We had a massive ordeal with this last hatch only 8/14 eggs were fertile, 2 pipped the wrong end early and died, 2 died about 2 days from hatch day and the last 4 the power went of for hours during hatch. The last 4 were so tired and shrink wrapped after 2 days trying to get out I had to intervene I couldn’t bare the thought of leaving them to die.
So after hours of watching videos and about 10 straight hour of chipping bits of shell of each egg in turns of 5 mins we have a 4 beautiful babies

Congratulations on your 4! That deciding when to intervene sure can be a nail biting time.

were any BYCers involved in this particular bit of British eccentricity? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...chicken-run-derbyshire-hen-racing-in-pictures Looks like fun! :wee

Def was not me but looks good fun!

Hello Agatha. :welcome soundslike you have a nice flock there! I recently bought two fantail pigeons from Melton Market. I think I'll have to visit again soon!

I just love the farmers market and so lucky to have it on my doorstep......is that one of your fantail pigeons that you purchased in your pic?
