How are your silkie chicks doing?
Sweet! I'm going to Melton Mowbray auction tomorrow. I'm not allowed to take the carrierAh yes I saw them too, very pretty indeed! Some I saw literally had a full head of feathers, kind of like a lions mane.
I wish I kept some more of my photos
They're doing alright! I need to get more updated photos of them.
I'm taking all of my non keepers to an auction soon to free up some space for my next batch which will be hatching soon
Here's one of my growers from one of my previous hatches that's turning out nice!
Also the little quail is surprisingly very friendly.

Just looking. But you never know!Oh no! I'm sure they won't notice it
Is there anything particular you are wanting to get?
The auctions I go to are mainly caged birds like budgies and Finches etc. Not many chickens or other poultry. There is the occasional dove for sale.
Just looking. But you never know!
No. They looked so sad. Its so stressful for any of them. If I had an acre I would've bought them all. There was I bunch if Asians there and they were buying all the ex layers. The lots all had 5 in and went for £2 a lot. There wasn't really any pigeons. There was lots with like10 in but I would have only wanted one hen. We nearly did a rescue job on a canary. It ended up selling for £18. It had well overgrown claws. I bid on a Orpington hen but got bid out but I did win these two beauties! Two chocolate Orpington pullets for £26! Meet roo and fudge!Did you get those?
