UK Member Please Say HI

Just googled Cooper Maran chicks. The colour is similar but there's no feathering around the feet. Someone did suggest a Black Star?
The english Variety don't have feathered feet. They bred it out as they prefer clean legs. So feathers are on french lines but not the english lines, so might just be an english line of black copper maran?

Hi, Julie here. I have had a mix of laying hen breeds for the last 3 years but just adding ducks to the mix. Hatched one duckling under a broody hen but she killed the first.
A single runner duck now has a little friend... a mandarin duck. Both introduced at 3 days old and are the best of buddies.

We all live on the Isle of Lewis so getting off island to pick up some friends for them is impossible. Got some eggs to incubate coming so keeping everything crossed.

As I wrote this I can hear a duck alarm... Jack, the runner has lost Peel the mandarin... my money is that Peel is under the brooder and Jack being so tall can't see him. Jack being so bloomin loud can't hear him either.... this is why I have been awake since 4am lol

Hi everyone! I just made a post in introductions and thought I'd drop in here too. I'm from West Sussex but been living in London for the past few years, currently out West. I'm just about to (hopefully) hatch my first button quail, so really happy to be here!
