UK Member Please Say HI

hello @HalfWayUpAMountain - welcome to the UK thread of BYC :frow
I think it's not just Eurotunnel - there are regs about importing animals into any country!
Anyway, it's done now so if you keep mum hopefully the powers that be will not notice... :fl

Hello, I used to live in Ontario, moved to the Scottish Highlands last year. We just added chickens, ducks and geese to our croft and I am having the hardest time finding layer mash that I can ferment (really don't like fermenting the pellets). I did find layer mash on the Marriages feed website, but our local Harbro won't order from them, because "their own brand feed is much better". I have contacted the Harbro stores in Inverness, Fort William, Glasgow and Edinburgh and none of them keep Marriages feed in stock and they need at least 1 week lead time to order, but unfortunately our infrequent trips to town are mostly short notice.
So ... Does anybody know of a feed mill/feed store in the Highlands that produces or sells non GMO layer mash? TIA

hello @RisingMoonFarm - welcome to BYC UK thread :frow
have you tried contacting Marriages direct, either to send some to you or to list local suppliers? Some breeders sometimes act in that capacity as a little earner on the side.

Thank you for the welcome! No, I haven't talked to them directly, just some of the online retailers they list on their website. None of them ships to the Highlands. I will see on Monday.

Hi

Im not trying to seperate this forum up but i thought it would be nice to know who and how many UK based members there are here

The main reason is then as the members in USA conduct Egg Swaps and Counrty and County based Sales and Advice then we can see who would be best to ask for local advise

So Any UK member just say Hi and state which Town/County your in
