If you slog right through the guidance, you can see they are trying to do right by the birds, and there's complete awareness of how stressful and damaging being cooped up is for birds used to genuine free-ranging, and that it's all about striking a balance between protecting them and hurting them. But if you were going to revamp your set-up anyway, then indeed, this is a good reason to move the plans forward!

In brief, because of the highly pathogenic H5N8 AI strain (and some others) currently circulating, it will be a legal requirement to implement biosecurity measures from 14th Dec; you have till then to prepare.

Hi! I have Lavenders Bantams and a Diamond Black! (It’s really dark outside and I have a new phone so will share pictures tomorrow)
Only 3 hens here but it’s a good starting point

hello everyone ,haven,t posted anywhere on byc for a few months so happy new year to you all ! i still haven,t got new chickens yet ,i miss having them but i am getting the garden ready for them slowly .just need the gazebo sorted to convert into run then get a new coop .and hoping we get out of tier 4 so i can collect them .my family think i,m mad ,so what ,they don,t say no to the eggs though!
