Hi Kim
Gosh that is a lot of good lush grass Harry has to himself! I worry more about it doing harm than good these days since Reb's colic last year and of course the risk of laminitis. I'm still strip grazing and it's brown on one side of the fence and now 6-10 inch lush grass on the other. I've had a few emerald green sloppy poos but so far no upset tummies and lovely shiny coats coming in. I have ridden a few times recently, the most recent was last Tues when we took Reb and Rascal out. We hadn't had the two of them out together since last Autumn and Rascal was absolutely full of it, so we had to take it very steady and keep him as calm as possible....my sister still had a bumpy ride on him though

and MeMe was extremely unhappy about being left at home on her own.....what a mess I had to clean up in the yard and stable when we got back!
Sorry I didn't reply to your message on my profile page. I tried to respond yesterday but it just kept kicking me out....probably a problem with my ancient computer rather than the site. Hope the grass does Harry the world of good and helping a girly lose weight in the process.... maybe that's what I need!
How is your incubating going? You must be about due for more goslings to hatch although I have rather lost track of time.
Things are hectic here as ever. We are now well into swarming season and I've been getting a phone call almost every day for the past 2 weeks mostly about bumble bees nests but some honey bees too. People just don't seem to be able to live in harmony with nature these days and see everything as a threat and pest control will not deal with honey or bumble bees, so beekeepers seem to be their only recourse. I travelled the best part of 100 miles and spent 3 late evenings removing bumble bee nests last week from home owners that absolutely could not let them stay and giving advice over the phone to countless others. Poor Ian has hardly seen me and my garden is becoming rather over populated with them.
Must head off now and deliver some horse manure.... Look forward to seeing picks of goslings again soon and some of the half grown ones too if you have some.... I know they are not with you anymore but imagine you will have been visiting.
Best wishes
Barbara
PS. Just seen your posts (above) about goose eggs pipping and hatching. For some reason I have not been getting alerts about this thread being updated so I only read and replied to your post about the field sharing, which you tagged me on. Now I realise I've been missing a whole load of stuff....
@timon
Looks like you got yourself a nice pair of cream legbars. I hope she lays you some lovely blue eggs.
