Are you feeling sore today? Plenty of hot baths will be needed if you are. Hope Archie was well behaved for you which I'm sure he was even if a little fit! The fun ride sounds lots of fun, goodness how bad was that for a pun 

The goose eggs have shocked me though and 2/3 look fertile. They are awhole different ball game to the chicken eggs so we shall see how they progress

The carton hatching option looks like a fantastic idea, If I can get cardboard cartons small enough do you think I should try it with the quail?
Or maybe even laying them next to a rolled up kitchen towel, so when they peck to get break the eggshell all the force is going forward and not rolling them back?
If you understand what I mean, you can direct more force forward when you're braced against something solid?![]()
What do you think?


I love hatching quail once one pops out they all seem to it's like watching popcorn!! I've got the hatching bug I've just set 40 quail eggs in the incubator![]()

How r u all coping with the bird flu situation with your chickens? Anyone in a high risk area? We are about 10 miles from a high risk area.
