Hi Ethel! It great to see your here. I like you have ex battery hens, they are so deserving! BYC always seemed to be the 'go to' place on Google searches so it definitely makes sense joining! If you need help please just ask. Can't help with the weather though! :)

Just posted for the first time on here this afternoon in the newbie section.
Had a moan about the weather and found this thread (Hi Ken)
Can anyone tell me what to feed after layers pellets?
I don’t want to keep on with food that promotes laying if she’s all done.
Or maybe layers pellets are good all round food?

Welcome to BYC & the UK thread!
Don’t get me started on this weather! :lol: If she’s done with laying and you don’t have anything else requiring layers you could put her on grower pellets. I can’t find any “all flock” feed here in the UK. If you have layers with her too you could still use growers but put oyster shell out for them so the layers get the calcium they require for egg laying.
 
Hi Alan or is it ken?! Nice to see you here! As far as feeds go I feed mine Allen and page freeholder range layers pellets. I have a couple of hens that don't lay anymore(freeloaders!) and they seem ok with that. I'm not sure if this is OK I've never really thought about it! What hens do you have?

Only have one now, she’s an ex colony rescue hen so I guess hybrid
