I was told a hen. she looks like one but has not laid an egg since i got her. Also was told she was over a 1yr old barely?? Looking for some help please!!

Looks female to me. Some girls will grow spurs, and some girls will stop laying for a few days, weeks, or months when their lives are "turned upside down" aka moved. With those spurs though, she is probably a bit over 1 if not more toward 2. But spur growth can vary between birds.
