Nervous new hatching mom here! The umbilical cord still seems to be attached to the chick & the egg. Will it be okay if it detaches? Also, the inside of the eggs all look like this one. Is that normal?

You're very welcome. That was just encase it did start to bleed. Glad to hear it came off by itself.Well, went & sterilized some scissors & came back & it was detached. I don't see any blood, but will keep watching. Thank you for the fast reply.
