Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

Im so sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well lately. I hope you get better soon. As for the breeds of my hens, I'm not exactly sure, but I've been doing some research and I know the breed of 1 of my hens. Maybe you can tell me the breeds of my other 2 by their description? I know that one of them is one of those big fat white Cornish hens. Her name is Limonada, or Limo for short. Choco Chip, or Choco, is smaller than Limo, but she's got black dots all over her body and her head. Diamante, or Mante, is a tiny bit smaller than Choco, and she's got red feathers all over her neck and head. They all lay light brown eggs. Boca tastes terrible to me too. This is off subject but I'm heading in the direction of becoming vegetarian. It's so terrible how these poor cows, chickens, and pigs are killed, that it makes me sick. I might still continue to eat fish though. Not exactly sure. But I did good today, instead of getting a hamburger, I got a salad!

Your chickens sound so pretty :) I'm sure looking up some pictures of different breeds and comparing them to yours will help you figure it out. That's how I figured out exactly what Daisy was. And as far as going vegetarian goes, the alternatives make it so easy :) There's burgers, bacon, sausage, chicken nuggets, wings, patties, grilled chicken, ribs, fish, almost anything! It makes fast food and going out to eat a little tricky, but it's worth it for the animals :)

Thanks for your help. I'm guessing I'll just eat plenty of salads and fruits and vegetables that contain protein. I still need to do research though.

I hope you're feeling better soon! And yes chickens are so smart! Your's sounds like she was really smart! I haven't fully decided on a breed yet. I'll likely go to the fair and see what they have, research the breeds, and pick some out the next day :) I haven't tried Boca chicken, only the burgers. MorningStar burgers are way better though!
Thanks! I'm doing a little better. I can't wait to find out what breed you get! Will you post a picture of your new babies when you get them?

Thank you Chicky Woos123.! It sounds like your black and white hen may be a Dominique. Not completely sure without seeing her though. The red feathered hen I would definitely need to see.
Good luck on going vegetarian. Like DaisyBird said there is so many alternatives to real meat and if you're a cook there are many different recipes for vegetarians. Unfortunately, I'm not a cook, but I'll try recipes here and there! My poor family! LOL!!

Thanks. I'm more of a baker though. I love making biscuits for my dogs and they'll do practically anything for them.

I'll try to post a picture of my hens. I looked up pictures of the Dominique but I don't think that's what she is. She's mostly white with a few black dots on her head and body. It's not a super good picture but hopefully you'll be able to tell. Thanks!

Take a look at this link. http://www.backyardpoultry.com/wiki/index.php/Chicken_Breeds_Chart Maybe you can identify what breed they are from it. Let me know if you find your breed or not.

I'm so sorry but I don't see any chickens that looked like them.
