"Thank you, Skyuka," Echo replied, a tiny, thankful smile forming on her maw. "I'm afraid that it won't help for long; he's very old."
Blizzard, who had been sleeping peacefully, was wide-awake. "Now, Echo," he muttered. "I'm fine..."
"As if," Echo snapped.

Skyuka smiled and nodded politely. "welcome." She went back to eating her rabbit.

Chase smelled moose too. He kept following the track. He started running faster and faster the more he thought about eating fresh meat.

Katar watched Blizzard and Echo from the shadows, her cold eyes dancing with pure malice. Echo and Blizzard were the only wolves that stood in way of getting the alpha female position; Blizzard was weak, but he would die defending his favorite daughter, his successor. Katar knew she needed more than herself to defeat the former alpha and the current alpha female, yet she didn't know who Hades would side with. His mate, Katar concluded bitterly.

Seeing Skyuka, her eyes brightened. Would this she-wolf betray her alphas and help her?
