I know many of you have not been able to sleep as you have been patiently waiting for an update. Here it is.

I picked her up tonight and felt her crop. It is quite full, so obviously that is good.

I decided to do a small trim. Her lower beak bled (I am sorry) and I applied some corn starch. I also trimmed the upper beak. That looks good. I will provide a picture in the morning.

She sure is patient through the procedure.
 
At least now you know how far back you can go on the lower beak.

I'd avoid trimming or minimize trimming the top beak (at least from the tip... you may need to file down the side edges to help sides line up if that becomes an issue later, it may not) - there's just so little of it to work with.
