Underground RR Quilt Block

It doesn't "represent" or "symbolize" anything. It is a picture of something happening but of course I couldn't put it into motion, just freeze a motion, so to speak. It actually is a picture of what the whole underground railroad was all about. So answer the question of "What was the underground railroad and who were they helping?" and you should have the answer. Like I said before, if it was TOO obvious, the massa would see it and understand.
 
I've changed my mind on the big block, I found a block I already sewed in a kalideaoscope pattern that will make an awesome wagon wheel. So that will be the center of my big block, and I will do the background fabric as a very subtle (light fabrics) tumbling blocks all over print, and applique the rose of Sharon on top of that.
 
Here is a pic of the first of 4 message blocks that I am going to incorporate into the quilt. I did a mock simplified layout just to see how it looked w/ word blocks, I'm not sure, what do you think?
