Understanding the lavender gene

Zookeeper9000 , May is the month with the lavenders in it. It was a good read but it was everything we new already for us. PP is a awesome mag..I really enjoy alot of there articles in each and every mag.

I just bought some eggs from Shaffer, and I'm reading all I can on the lavendar gene. I found this thread from last summer--it has a wealth of information on lavendar genetics.

Yes there is lots of info on here with having to do with lavender..Much can be learned by doing a search in all posts on the word lavender or even try self blue..

Thanks for the good wishes, Charlie. I am really lucky to get a chance to hatch some birds from Harry's flock. My fingers are crossed that the eggs have a safe and uneventful trip. CA is a looooong way from PA!

If he packs them right like we showed them how, they should make it, as we also sent lots of eggs out there in the past and present and normally have great results..

HenHaven~ You should be just fine, The Shaffer's have had people hatch their eggs on your coast before. Good luck, I'm sure you will love them
