I have an 11 week old showgirl pullet who is tinier, bonier, and slightly underweight compared to the others. When we first brought these chicks home, some had coccidiosis. The breeder was treating them and I continued treatment. This was one of the ill ones who seemed to be a little weakling. She pulled through and became the most outgoing, curious, and brave one of them all. She acts 100% fine. Eats, drinks, plays, very clean, very outgoing...the little escape artist. She is just smaller and is bonier/lighter when I pick her up.

Is this normal or a sign of something that I need to watch out for? This is my first time owning chickens so I am still learning :-)

Getting sick so young may have stunted her growth, but she may surprise you and catch up with a late growth spurt! As long as she's eating and healthy, good job!

Thank you! I keep watching her like a hawk! Other than her size/weight she acts 100% normal. I was just worried I would get blind sided. I am so attached to her. I would hate to lose her.
