Unexpected Duck, new "dry" picture

I know he has ducks, but dont know what kind. Guess I'll have to go and ask him what all he has. Do ducks (other than muscoveys) hatch at 28 days?

Pekins hatch at 30 days, but my duck eggs are bigger than what you have I think

To me they look more the size of chicken eggs. They aren't guinea eggs, which are smaller than chicken eggs and light to medium brown.

Editing: Have you candled them? Do they look fertile?

Im voting muscovy! If they were regular ducks, they would be at least pushing against the air cell by now and most likely internally pipped.

Oh yes, I've candled them, they're alive and kicking, can see feathers now, on day 22 I really couldnt make out any feathers. Not knowing too much about stages of development in candling, my best guess would put them at about 4-5 more days.
They're not near the air sac yet, still up towards pointy end of egg.

Update:

It's about time!!!! Day 28 today, and candling just showed one is pushing into the air sac, although not yet pipped into it. So I upped the humidity, and now the 3 day wait begins!!!!

All three are still alive, and the other 2 are not pushing against the air sac yet, but have moved down towards that side of the egg.

At last, we'll all find out what these mystery eggs are!!!

I'm so surprised you can see so much when you candle - Gosh I see a black BLOB or nothing - LOL

Can't wait to see what pops out!

Thanks, my candling device was free too. A light bulb socket (like the kind you'd mount to the wall or ceiling) a 75 watt bulb and a coffee can, oh and some black electrical tape and black construction paper. Put light base and bulb in coffee can, run cord out of top of can through slit in lid, cover inside of lid with black construction paper, securely tape over all of lid and where lid connects to can with black tape, then cut hole for egg in can. walla, free, or near free candler.
