and this a.m. discovered several more ducks under my female duck Princess. I have had a ton on my hands this past month and knew she had eggs but from last 2 clutches of eggs we destroyed(appx. 2 weeks into brood) none were fertile. They have been kept in their kennel because a couple months ago both crossed the street(2x) and I was trying to figure out a way to contain them more comfortably. Noticed a couple of days ago the drake(named Drake) was staying in the doghouse with Princess.Went to tear down their kennel this a.m.(finally had time etc) and , oh well, guess my hands will be extremely overloaded now. She is still setting so I don't know how many there are but I saw at least 3 already. I burst into tears at my screw up and unfortunately may learn to eat duck now. Princess is 5 yo WH and Drake is3 yo Call.I let her/him loose about and hour before I went to bed and they got to swim/eat grasses and she hadn't set extremely consistently(so I thought) and even wanted to cross street again last night so MY HANDS ARE FULL. I won't rehome them because people love ducklings then often neglect/release them when they reach maturity but I will care for them while they're here. Darn ducks!!Will get pics up tomorrow after I clean up their area and let mom finish her work. argggggghhhh.

TY-It will be OK , I know, and my son has promised to help manage the crisis. Theres a reason babies are cute and I am tortured currently with the 1 I held. Its pouring rain fiercly and I have to go make sure theres a ramp from doghouse to ground so in case she brings them out when I am gone they can return to nest area.Too much thought needed in an overwhelmed head.
