A guy who was right on the front row, under a white tarp/canopy. He also had a pair of giant black cochins! Wish I had had a bix big enough to take those home too

Matt---you didn't miss a thing; except for spending some wonderful time with some dear friends, I wish I had stayed home.

I've never seen a Poultry Show run so poorly. They violated nearly every rule that poultry shows have.
Exhibitors cooping out on the same aisle that judging was being done on, etc, etc.
The absolute WORST thing was the club members started breaking down the show cages before the judging was even complete!!! Crashing the cages down, adjacent to birds who were still cooped in---the birds were terrorized. I was nearly bowled over by some idiot flying down the aisle, carrying a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood---if I hadn't yelled at him, my bird & I would have been knocked to the ground---all he did was roll his eyes at me---no apology, nothing.

NEVER AGAIN will I participate in a show conducted by this poultry club---it was a travesty

I heard that it was poorly run. What a shame, too. We do not have enough local shows as it is but who wants to go to one that is run like this? And to have the date changed so close to entry time, I am sure messed them up even more.

This was our first time going to a poultry show and I was pretty disappointed. I'm hoping that they aren't all like that. It seemed poorly organized and very few people were willing to talk to us. We were just there trying to learn the ropes and see some nice birds. Oh well, hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

The OEGBCONC normally puts on a great Spring show, at least in years past. I think this was the 33rd annual show. I am not part of that club, since I don't raise old English, so I can't really say what is going on in the club. I have heard some rumors and some comments from inside the club, but that is something I will not spread. This show was probably just a fluke.

NC Spring Shows:
March 30 - Winston-Salem ran by the FFFA
April 13 - Greensboro ran by CFFA

NC Fall Shows:
Oct 26 - Morganton ran by FPC(I am setting up a website this summer and hope to have online registration as an option this year).
Nov 2 - Morganton(Old English only show) ran by OEGBCONC
Nov 30 - Winston-Salem by FFFA

I know! I found out after we left that there were several people there that I would have known from BYC. Maybe at Chickenstock! We will definitely be there!
