Sorry I didn't answer this sooner.

To sell list:
1: You need your green card which is just a free permit to sell poultry.
2: Healthy birds only.
3: No birds that have been sick within the last 90 days or been on the same property as birds that have been sick in that time period
4: No birds that have been vaccinated with a live virus vaccine in the last 45 days or been near a bird that has been vaccinated in the same time.

Fairly simple and it is the same for all shows/sales.

At the fairgrounds the selling area is inside the fence in front of the building. Folks that are not selling should park outside the fence so that they don't take up a good sellers spot.

For this show I would get there early to get a good spot. Well even the folks at the bottom of the seller's area normally do well. I am going to be there just before daylight.

Matt

I hope this helps.

Green Family Farms did you get my pm. I have pmed a few times before and have not heard anything. Hope nothing is wrong with the pming system.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow. Just look for the short, extremely fat guy, with a balding head and wearing shorts. That is me.

Anyone wanna show pics of what they bought at the show?

Here's my cornish bantams...unfortunatly the roo seems to have some sinus infection.

I didn't buy anything but I did get to give my silkie roo to another BYC'er from FL that needed one and I just had to happen to talk to and she needed one and I had one and so I went home and got him and both of us are pleased!

My birds are healthy, so I have no problems with that, especially the silkies who have been in quarantine since I got them for my birthday and haven't been with the main flock at all.
Our family got to see jplummer and those gorgeous birds she has!

I am convinced I want Giant Cochins after those gorgeous birds I saw today at the show!! After talking to some others that have them and that haven't heard of BYC, I'm going to be looking for non hatchery cochins which I already knew, but that just solidified it.

DD was just in love with them, and so am I after getting an idea of how beautiful these birds are and how huge they are!!

I don't have space for quarantine right now, but there were SO many that I wanted to get, especially in the outdoor area.

That was a lot of fun just getting to my first chicken meeting! The kids loved it and even though the middle ds wasn't feeling the greatest, it was a lot of fun!

Cheeps, nice looking birds, love the lacing!

Just be sure to keep them in quarantine for 30 days.

baltimore - where are you in Rowan? I'm in Rockwell. I think it's such a trip when I run across people nearby!

DH and I also fell in love with those huge cochins last time. I think we went last march, by April I had 6 giant cochins in my brooder! All I can say is GO FOR IT!! They have been THE greatest birds, so pretty and super friendly!! They're not quite as enormous as those at the shows though, don't know why, but still are a big ball of fluff! So fun.
