About 3 weeks ago I hatched a few eggs that I got from my hens and rooster. The rooster is somewhat birchen, but the birchen coloration is only present on the neck and upper back slightly. The hens have blue feathers despite their neck feathers that have silver edges, somewhat resembling a birchen pattern as well. I hatched a variety of chicks from them that vary in color, but I'm not to sure on what this chick will mature to be coloration wise. My suspicion is silver penciled. Of 10 chicks, 2 are of this pattern. One is a splash as well, and the others are somewhat black or blue. Any guesses on coloration?

@nicalandia I have a few chicks that have feathers which exhibit both black and white. Any idea where it came from? Will it just molt when they get older and come back as black?

@nicalandia Do you know what color of chick this little guys is? It doesn't appear to be black, any form of birchen, or silver partridge (is silver partridge the same as silver pencilled?). Kind of looks like it will be a splash, but I'm really not sure. It's the only one of this color in the clutch of 10 (2 silver partridge, 7 with black or grey down of sorts).
