unknown peeps, now pullets/cockerels PLEASE help me I.D.!

Ok, dubbing a male OEG bantam... his comb, right? cuz his has quite a pointy line going on... Most I've seen have a "solid" looking ridge in the Standard of Perfection for OEG Bantam: a solid, flat-ish ridge, so that means if I "dubb" my young roo's his will look that way, too?

And thank,s the Amreican Poultry site has the SOP for $59.

I have found winning pix of bb red OEG Bantams with pale or yellow legs online, so maybe black legs aren't the only color?
Ill see if I can attach them below: (these are not mine but have pale legs)

I am sure if you go to the "Breeds" section and post there, a Game breeder can help you. I really don't know much about them other than what I saw in the SOP. I have a Modern Game Bantam pullet my kids want to keep, even though I would never choose to have them. Just a preference thing. I got a small batch cheap from a breeder that were late hatchers that I needed to keep my lone Silkie chick company this winter on my first hatch that was a near complete failure, he (White Silkie) was the only one of 34, so I took what I could get to keep him warm and from being lonely. The little Game is a Birchen and very cute. She mades a little birdie sound unlike any other chickens I have or have had. I might just keep her around to tease my brother with anyway, he likes them but lives in D.C.

Thanks; My Silkie shall be named "Uncle Sam Silkie Shmoo" due to his DQ red, white and blue face, and, he looks like that cartoon "Shmoo" that was Capt. Caveman's sidekick!

I may use him in political banter on fb or something. If "he"happens to turn out to be a hen, (however!)... I will see if "she" can raise some BB Rose Comb Bantam eggs!

Q: Back to my OEG Bantam Cockerel: he will be 4 mos. old at our county fair, so I wouldn't have to have him dubbed YET, right?

(thanks, everybody!

our meat chicks came today! ordered/pd. for 50 but i only counted 45.....

One was almost dead @ Post Office and another had a broken leg, too!

They move too fast to count, so I have taken more pix in order to hopefully get an accurate count.

I agree, both EEs are boys. You can clearly see the saddle feathers on both.
I just got 50 meaties yesterday. They are all happy and clean and cute. That will all change in a week when they are ravenous all the time, half featherless and stinking to high heavens

Looks like you have a cute pair on the OEGs. The Sebright is a definite girl.

(Pssst baby turkeys are poults, not chicks

)

They are all looking good, I am sure they will show just fine in 4-H. I need to get some pictures of my own sometime soon. Once I have everyone separated out into their pens instead of all running together, it will be much easier.

Good luck getting info on the dubbing!

You have a couple of handsome and manly EEs there. And a whole slew of cute babies!

Aw man, I love turkey poults
