I agree exactly with what shireshome says, now you are on the route and they will be back periodically forever, unless, you end them, even then, they leave a scent for other coons to follow. Get heavy guage hardware cloth and build a secure run, check around periodically for signs of attack. Ie digging, clawmarks, bite marks, it will take a while, but eventually they will start to give up-just don't you.
