Please don't shoot the hawk. Not only is it illegal, it is wrong. Hawks, and all native wildlife, are just doing what they need to do to survive. Chickens, though our dear and wonderful pets, just happen to be a super-easy target. It is our responsibility to keep them safe from wildlife, not to eradicate the wildlife. I, for one, would consider my world a very terrible place if there were no wild animals to share it with.
