Oh i get what your saying now ! Of course they can , cause they're both types of dogs and cats ! I guess I was thinking more like two different types of animals, like a peacock and an alligator . So if we bred birds for thousands of years we'd get a dinosaur ? Lol.

Yes! You could! But it would take A LOT of years, literally more generations than humans have already existed. That's the trick of it. It's a VERY slow process.

But we can get a lot of variation even now. I mean, look and Shamo chickens and Dong Tao chickens and naked necks. Chickens aren't just cute and fluffy. All the pieces for being an upright predator are there.

This is an archaeopteryx skeleton VS a duck skeleton. Look at how similar they are! It may take a lot of time, but those are gaps that could be closed with enough time.

Are you familiar with the russian fox farm experiment?

Yes why ?

Okay, so here is my theory. Two (different) bird like dinosaurs mated and made a new type of bird like dinosaur. That baby then grew up and mated with another type of bird like dinosaur, which created a new type of bird like dinosaur. This continued for a few million years until one of the great, great (and many more greats) grand child of the original two bird like dinosaurs mated with a different type of jungle bird, and created the chicken! So, that means the egg came first! Maybe. Right?
