Unofficial Worldwide Clean Out the Garage Event

I started to clean out last fall. It has stuff from my dad livin here still...that would be 30 years of his accumulation and 10 of my own.

I found a porta potty you can take camping. A small wood box with a lid with a painted rooster on it. A pedal metal tractor for kids. Among some other things.

Still have more to go come spring.

Ooh... sounds fun... but I will have to hold for a while. How about unofficial clean out the garage MONTH?

I want to do a large yard sale, my garage is in the backyard. Looking through the droors in my room, I can already earn $450. This is not good. Not good at all! With all this new room, I must build a grow-out coop in the garage... and a brooder... maybe one for the injured ones, too?

While I am not joining you on cleaning out the garage

(I have done one side of my parents garage and I know I tossed items of great value to others....like a 50's 60's out board motor only missing some parts.... The guys at the recyclers tried to talk me in to keeping it, oh the value once it is restored, I on the other hand remembered that stinking motor cutting out every time we got off shore and down from the launch/harbor so I could row us back..... I can laugh about it now, but if you have ever had a 12 year old daughter who had to row you up current while you tinker with the motor....you too would understand why I would have loved to toss it in the ocean, but settled for the recycler...)

I do have about 6 bags of crap my mom saved from one of her store rooms off the garage, cause everyone needs to saved old used non copper wire and broken/splintered redwood....

OH, but I DO understand! Been there, done that. We were constantly camping and fishing when I was a kid. Had a converted school bus, painted John Deere Green with yellow stripes....Looked like a big rolling Watermelon! Dad would put the metal Johnny boat on the top of the bus, and off we'd go. And that nasty old boat motor was always breaking down. Still love to fish...from the shore!

Got about half of the garage done. ... Decided to grab DH and get him to help tomorrow. That way he won't have to holler for me every time he can't find something.

Ha, we had a VW bus, typically hand painted, our alum boat was on the roof (only child or I am sure we would have had a school bus too)
