Same. I have a partridge hen and my male wit poor bowties and it drives me nuts

I wouldn't know. I don't know genetics at all. I just know two of my pullets have beautiful bowties and the other pullet and cockerel have like 3 feathers for theirs

Unpopular opinion apparently: Male chicks being ground up for cat food or frozen for hawks and falconers is better than just being thrown in the garbage

I don’t know! I do know that dry kibble is a waste of chicken because it dehydrates the cat eating it. Short term throwing kibble up and long term malnutrition and kidney failure. Even the expensive prescription kibble is bad just how it’s made. It’s a convenience food for people and not a healthy choice for cats.

We've always fed our cats sry food and never had a problem. Same with my friends that have cats

Unpopular opinion: Opossums are not so much predators as scavengers. They don't actively hunt and kill unless they absolutely have to. Mostly they will eat anything laying around, and that includes dead mice the cats got tired of and other dead animals the predators finished or were scared away from, eggs that obviously you must have left for them in the nestboxes or any other reachable place, and feed the ducks walked away from. (BTW, the possums like dry cat food, too!)

My dad used to call possums, "the little janitors."
I have a live-and-let-live attitude towards them, which I reinforce with pens and runs that will keep out raccoons.

I went off to research why your birds might have 3 feathers (partial bow tie?) instead of either bow tie or no bow tie.
