don’t swedish blacks originate from Ayam Cemanis? i have to say, any one of the full black breeds are in my dream flock

I'm not sure but they're a lot different now. They even come in a silkie feather variety!

That’s not a silkied Swedish black. That’s just a silkie.

The idea of a chicken with black skin (which I had never heard of before BYC) is a bit strange to me. I'm giving it time to grow on me a bit.

it’s very hard to fong legitimate images of swedish black silkies, but this photo looks legit (as far as i can tell the caption under it has nothing to do with the actual breed)

The caption is describing it. Swedish blacks don’t have crests, beards, and they certainly aren’t that round.

Ayam cemanis are overrated and compared to other pure black chickens, ugly. I much prefer the raven like swedish blacks (svart honas.)

I'm confused... Ayam Cemanis and Svart Honas look exactly the same, so how are ACs more ugly? The only differences in the breeds are ACs are better in warm climates and Svart Honas are higher production and suited for cold climates.
