This seems to be a common trend.

I live in a wet and muddy place, and my run isn't even covered yet all of my feather footed birds keep their feet pretty clean.

In fact, even cleaner than a lot of my clean legged birds.

I'm shocked they stay that clean . They are cute to look at.

My Australorp is the sweetest thing. She raised four chicks this year and was an excellent mom.

is that a rsl or golden comet? like i know they’re the same thing but golden comets specifically are marginally more pretty than rsl overall

i think you all have inspired me, here’s one more unpopular opinion for the road (please don’t kill me) i keep my chickens under a heat lamp in the winter

I turn my 100 w bulb on around 3 am ( when temp. really drops ) till daybreak

yep it is! but the white feathers on the neck and the lighter color made me think of that

she’s beautiful either way! the main issue i have with rsl is the inconsistency in color, sometimes they tend to look patchy
