unpopular chicken opinions??

Here since its a people an eggs thing.

Why is it people get weirded out on quail, duck, & turkey eggs. Even chicken eggs come outa their butts

Saw a show of kids hunting iguanas and got excited that they got a female full of eggs. They fried them up.

Not trimming spurs doesn't make me an irresponsible person if they're not causing problems. Even if they are more than a few inches long

I don't see why. I make sure he's not catching on himself or on anything and you wouldn't even know there was a male with his girls looking at their backs and bodies

Although I like all my birds to keep from having 100 birds the wife & I have come up with some rules..... (which we break)
If its not a specific breed or doesn't lay eggs then cull or rehome.
Specific for roosters is if he isn't pure bred then his purpose is freezer camp.

Yet I still have 4 different coops & runs along with a grow out shed....... and quail...

Right! LOL Even though I KNOW they are the "same thing". I never could bring myself to eat my turkey's eggs. (She was laying in December when I got her. She stopped a few weeks later.) But I also now have 3 females. (My 2 jennys aren't laying age yet.) It will be interesting to see if I "get over it" later in the year when I am getting eggs again!
