UNPOPULAR OPINIONS! 🥴

I know you guys joke about ducks but I truly hate them unless I’m wasting 5 shells per bird as they flip me the bird at my Chinese made sh*tty decoy spread.
I can identify with this..

What’s your feeling about bluebills? They see decoys circle then land 200 yards from shore. Never getting close enough to let me have a shot.

a chicken does not have enough brain cells to know if it is happy or not. The dozen brain cells are too busy staying alive, finding food or having sex, to care about being happy.
Here's something I found online from
https://www.animalsaustralia.org/features/8-chicken-facts.php
"A recent study has shown that chickens are intelligent and emotional animals, and are able to "demonstrate thinking skills on par with mammals and primates". If you hide an object from a chicken, they will still know it's there — this is something even young children aren't able to do."
I realize that many so-called recent studies aren't actually science based at all, but I see this intelligence in my flock. It sure looks like intelligence, reasoning, and even emotions to me.....

Pseudo science... or new age thinking..

Looks can be deceiving.. :lau :lau

Actually I have no idea, and doubt anyone else does too. I like to think my birds like me, but I am probably lying to myself.

It’s easy to think they do, especially the toms.

Pretty much the same thing. Black ducks will circle and circle and circle then leave. 🙄 I do better on wigeon, teal, the occasional gadwall and I’m an expert merganser shooter. 🤣
Actually I almost messed up the other day. I thought I had a group of teal coming in and d*mn near shot a grebe. At the last second I held off and realized what it was.
