UNPOPULAR OPINIONS! 🥴

Chickens may be smarter than some realize but they still jam their beaks into a wet turd expecting it to be something tasty.
My ducks do, too. They run all around the yard searching for cow patties. And dig through them to find bits of undigested corn. :sick

If this is where we decide to set the bar, where do dogs fit that are perfectly happy munching on chicken droppings?

I’m not sure but that absolutely drives me nuts. Just yesterday I went to grab whatever the puppy was eating in the yard out of his mouth and got wet chicken crap smeared all over my hand. I thought it was a little piece of mulch. I was wrong. 🤢

I have never shot a wigeon, I don’t think we have them here, but I am off any flyway so it’s mainly mallards, teal and black dux.
Buffaloheads and bluebills during late season.
We have a decent amount of wigeon (some years) bluebills (less and less every year it seems) ring necks, buffleheads, green winged teal and mallards. The odd gadwall, shoveler, ruddy etc. I have seen just about all of them at one time or another but many times it’s from the truck in a roadside ditch or something. I have never seen a canvasback, redhead, goldeneye and a few others when actually hunting. Lots of hooded mergansers too. I may not be the best duck hunter though. 😂

Edit:
oh I forgot pintails we get a few of them too. When I say (we) I usually mean everyone else but me.

Noise complaints, and the smell. In cities people live very close. Not everyone wants loud hens or a crowing rooster in their window. Plus, birds can stink. You have to be respectful to others. I don’t live in city limits or have restrictions on poultry, but if my neighbor were to ever complain about noise or smell, I’d have to do something about it. It’s not fair to others.
Nope. 😄
