A little known fact about tiger eggs:

Tiger eggs do not have shells. They are a soft egg somewhat like a hermit crab. Tigers will search for a structure to lay their eggs in that will protect it.

Now in rare instances, a tigeress will find an ostrich egg and use it, but it is a lot of work and so much can go wrong. The tigeress has to blow out the ostrich egg then blow in her own soft egg. Hard to do, so not the preferable shell.

Now, in an attempt to maintain my reputation for complete honesty and knowing some females will deny this, the tigeress actually does very little of the work. She forces her mate to find the protective egg shell she needs. Which means the male tiger must gather all the food the and be looking for “eggs” at the same time.

This has evolved into finding a food source that contains an egg casing. As amazing as it seems human skulls are the perfect egg shell. Nothing to blow out and the egg slips right in.

Which explains why female tigers are responsible for all human deaths by tigers..

Finally, the real and true story behind the tiger attack on Roy Horn. Montecore was just trying to gather an egg shell!
