I wouldn't say healtgier, bit they are more chixkenlike faster. They don't have to learn as teenagers that a grasshopper isn't going to attack them
LOL! Yeah, 'attack' grasshoppers, 'attack' dried leaves, 'attack' windy days, etc.
I ended up putting some stuffed animals and a feather boa in with my hatchery chicks. Most of them ended up snuggling with the fake mommas. It seemed to make them lessed stressed.

I'm thinking that's Ralphie with the skull and crossbones shirt and Havoc over there with the nifty mohawk. :ya

Maybe? I don’t know... everyone north of Des Moines all look the same to me.:idunno

It is fun to look at how they changed from album to album... same great polka death metal sound, but they look like completely different people.

It's logical & sensible, but I just can't. When chickens jump in your lap to nestle down for pets, knowing there are no treats...when they come over to visit, even though there are plenty of crickets to free range...when they actually pose cute for photos or do things daily that make me laugh & smile...when I look forward to my time with them...nope, these are my my fav "peeps" to hang with, I don't care who lays eggs or not. I look at it this way, how many people need a shrink, therapist, life coach or bartender...I don't need any of those, I got all the support, grateful & sympathetic ears I need right here.
Yeah. My chickens are pets; my therapist agrees that they're good for me.
